๐ฏ The Goal
I can use Bookmarks and Tab Groups to organize my browser and reach my school websites instantly.
๐ The Walkthrough: How it Works
In a school day, you visit the same websites many times. Using shortcuts saves you several minutes every hour.
- Bookmarks: A “speed dial” for your browser. They live in a bar right under your address bar.
- Tab Groups: These let you “clump” related tabs together under one name and color so your screen doesn’t look cluttered.
โ The Checklist: Your Task
Open Chrome and complete these steps:
- Create a Bookmark: Go to your school’s dashboard or VLE. Click the Star icon in the address bar. Make sure it is saved to the “Bookmarks Bar.”
- Show the Bar: If you can’t see your bookmarks, press Ctrl + Shift + B to toggle the bar on.
- Group Your Work: Open two more tabs (e.g., Google Drive and Google Classroom). Right-click the first tab and select “Add tab to new group.”
- Label and Color: Name the group “Schoolwork” and pick a color. Drag your other tabs into it.
๐ Level Up! (Extension)
- Collapse and Expand: Click on the name of your Tab Group (“Schoolwork”). Can you make the tabs disappear and reappear to save space?
