๐ฏ The Goal
I can sign into my school Chrome profile and turn on Sync to ensure my bookmarks and settings are saved across all school computers.
๐ The Walkthrough: How it Works
Your Chrome profile is your digital identity. By signing in and syncing, you ensure that any bookmark you save or password you store follows you from the IT lab to your laptop at home.
- Profiles: Found at the top right of the Chrome browser. It keeps school work separate from personal browsing.
- Sync: This “uploads” your settings to the cloud so they are always ready for you.
- The Taskbar: Pinning apps here makes them easy to find with one click.
โ The Checklist: Your Task
Open Chrome on your computer and complete these steps:
- Identity Check: Click the Profile Circle at the top right of your Chrome window. Check that it shows your school email address.
- Turn on Sync: If it says “Sync is off,” click the button to turn it on.
- Pin for Speed: Look at the Chrome icon at the bottom of your screen (the Dock). Right-click it and select “Optionsr” and then Keep in Dock so it stays there even when closed.
๐ Level Up! (Extension)
- Startup Pages: Can you go into Chrome Settings and set it so that every time you open the browser, your school dashboard and Google Drive open automatically?
